Elle suddenly pulled away realizing she was sitting close and blushing hard. “Listen Jerry,” She gave a pause. “I’ve made a million mistakes in this lifetime and have had to pay for each of them, but you’ve never been one. Yet I still have to pay for breaking us like I did.” Her eyes looked off searching for the words, the kind I was not wanting to hear.
“I’d like to think that we were young artists in love but we were foolish frauds only playing at it. You are and always will be Jerry to me, the boy with stage fright. The gentlemen who holds the door open and the man who taught me heartbreak. I’m forever grateful, but I realized I never loved you. We were just playing out a fantasy. Something we wished for rather than something we actually had.”
She braced herself, waiting for the reaction she expected of me. I however didn’t give in to emotion. I didn’t get upset and tell her I still loved her. I didn’t say I missed our car rides, the daily visits to the coffee shops or our thrift store afternoons. I never told her of the gratitude I felt or the potential I still saw; that she still was the last thought of my every day.
Instead I agreed we were naive and that this was all for the best. Then I changed the subject and asked if she wanted a go at the arcade. With great relief she smiled brightly, accepting. Elle’s smile was always perfect, small lips and just enough teeth.
The evening was going great until we had entered that all too familiar territory; for the moment we were enjoying ourselves like before. I cursed myself for allowing it, reopening wounds is never fun. By the end I was in need of a night-cap.

An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, “The Losers” centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team–Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar–find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they’re joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.
The Losers is set to hit theaters on April 9th 2010,
He did not know what he could do. He tried to relive memories, forget them and create new ones for himself. Jerry felt forever tarnished, there was a stain that wouldn’t leave his heart. With a broken spirit he concentrated on matters of the mind rather than the heart; to focus on everything other than creatures of the female persuasion. She was a walking trap, a heartbreaker and deal with the devil maker. No one would ever get so far into his skin, he promised that much. But she… she would always be there. “How comforting and disturbing,” he mumbled.
They sang this live at ‘The Peep Show,’ a tune I already love. This one’s always going to remind me of the trip.
Las Vegas 09’ has been one of the better vacations I’ve taken in a while, I’ll be posting some of the 350 something pictures we took on my cousin Cathy’s camera whenever she gets around to sharing.

I also saw ‘Criss Angel - Believe’ by cirque du soleil at The Luxor.
I have to say his magic is impressive on television even if he comes off as an annoying prick. The live show lost the ‘awe factor’ after the fourth disappearing-reappearing trick, but the stage set, costumes, dance and everything else was really good.

I saw ‘The Peep Show’ at Planet Hollywood starring Holly Madison of Girls Next Door and Aubrey O’day of Danity Kane fame.
It is a take on fairytale vixens in a celebration of female sexuality with curvacious women and stripteasing. I think I blushed while watching.
Time slips through cracks, crevices and holes of every kind.
My soul does dwell between matters of the heart and mind.
How does one carry on through his darker days and clear sky nights,
When his wonders fade from what was bright to dimmer lights.
I only need you to set fire again to my more imaginitive thoughts,
To fulfill and inspire what great feelings you once brought.
Only then can I reclaim the man who so proudly stood,
Who did what he must, the one who acted as he should.
